Since 2025, faculty from the School of Health Sciences at Purdue University and the Department of Social Sciences from Purdue Fort Wayne have collaborated with Elkhart County Environmental Council to develop our capacity to help residents in Elkhart. Together, we have strengthened ECEC’s connections to other organizations such as the Hoosier Environmental Council and the Community Engaged Alliance. Our partners have helped secure financial assistance and brought students into our community to learn about community engagement as part of their journey in higher education.
