In March of 2026, ECEC volunteers successfully canvassed the entire residential neighborhood identified by EPA as potentially impacted by a migrating pollution plume from the Lusher groundwater contamination site. We left important information at 190 homes about what residents can do to find out if they are eligible for free vapor mitigation systems. Several residents mentioned that they were not aware of this offering. Several others told us that they were still on well water and were at risk of having their home water supply impacted by the migrating pollution plume. We were careful to protect residents’ privacy, and we encouraged residents to contact the EPA directly for any specific concerns. ECEC wants our community to get informed. We provide information about resources to the community.
